Purple isn't the obvious choice for a scarf, which is exactly why this one works. The Windermere Gardenia puts mint green, blue and red paisley on a rich purple ground, and the effect is more vintage smoking room than loud.
In the aviator cut it's long and slim, so it drapes down the front of a coat rather than bunching at the throat. The 100% silk keeps it light and gives it a soft sheen, and the fringed ends add a bit of swing. Try it with charcoal, camel or black outerwear, where the purple really comes through.
